Other examples of wrecked equipment include...

Wrecked camping tents often feature snapped poles, torn fabric, collapsed frames, or ruined rainflies caused by high winds, heavy snow, or improper staking.  Common examples include tents flattened by windstorms, ripped material from sharp objects, poles broken during setup or bad weather, and tents left abandoned or destroyed at campsites.

Examples of wrecked camping tents include:

  • Wind-Damaged Structures: Tents with snapped fiberglass or aluminum poles, causing the roof to  collapse, often due to high-velocity winds or improper staking.
  • Torn Fabric: Rips in the tent body or rainfly, frequently caused by extreme weather, debris, or damage during the setup/takedown process.
  • Collapsed Tents: A total loss of structural integrity where the tent is flattened on the  ground, sometimes leaving only a mangled skeleton of poles.
  • Abandoned/Weathered Tents: Dilapidated or discarded tent skeletons left in wilderness areas or campsites, often showing significant decay.
  • Damaged Tent Accessories: Broken zippers, torn tent bags, or damaged pegs/stake lines.
  • Flood/Water Damage: Tents destroyed by water flow in a campground or soaked and broken after a heavy storm.

All joking aside, we really are not trying to keep deposits or charge our guests. We Only Charge If Equipment Is Excessively Soiled or Damaged Beyond Repair
